In his latest version Power on Newsletter, BloombergMark Gurman provides more information about iOS 16 and watchOS 9. This is called a “major upgrade”. This is the first time Gurman has reported on an upcoming operating system after Apple announced the WWDC 2022 keynote on June 6th.
Bloomberg journalists say they are looking for “overall significant enhancements, such as notification updates and new health tracking features,” since iOS 16.
Regarding redesign, Gourman does not believe that Apple will bring “end-to-end redesign to the iOS interface, even though it hasn’t changed much since iOS 7.”
An interesting bite is about the possibilities of the new iPad OS multitasking interface. With the iPadOS 15, Apple made it easy for users to multitask, but it wasn’t the way professional users expected. Maybe iPad OS 16 may finally change that..
Apart from iOS 16 and iPad OS 16, Gourman states that the Apple Watch “may make a major upgrade to activity and health tracking.” Earlier, journalists said this year would be a great year for the Apple Watch lineup, with three new watches coming out later this year. So that you can read more about it here.
Last but not least, Gourman doubles that Apple is unlikely to announce anything about Mixed Reality headsets, but iOS 16 should be full of it. He writes:
As far as I know, the full-scale introduction of mixed reality headsets is probably out of the question in June, but the beta version of iOS 16 (codenamed Sydney) says it’s packed with headset references. It has been. And the interaction with the iPhone.
This shows that the headset will launch during the iOS 16 cycle, start in June, and continue until iOS 17 hits the fall of 2023. However, it may be possible for Apple to preview some of its future extensions and virtual reality software early. .. Perhaps you can even take a peek at the headset rOS, which stands for real-life operating system.
