Boris Johnson and other ministers were blacklisted in the Kremlin and banned from entering Russia in response to sanctions on the country.

The list released by the Russian Foreign Ministry includes the Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Liz Truss, Secretary of Defense Ben Wallace, Secretary of Defense Dominic Raab, and former Prime Minister Theresa May.

The ministry said in a statement that the move was due to “the unprecedented hostile action of the British government, especially expressed in the imposition of sanctions on senior government officials” in Russia.

He added, “The anti-Russian policy of action of the British authorities is to stir up a negative attitude towards our country, to reduce bilateral relations in almost all regions, and to the well-being and interests of the British population. It has a negative effect. Sanctions attacks inevitably backfire on their initiators and receive decisive rejections. “

It happens when Russian troops resume their attacks on the Ukrainian capital after a short grace period.

A spokesperson for the British government said: We are determined to support Ukraine. “

Johnson spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Saturday afternoon.

The Prime Minister recently met Volodymyr Zelensky in Kieu (Ukrainian Government / Pennsylvania)

A spokesperson for Downing Street said: “The Prime Minister paid tribute to the bravery of the Ukrainian army, which continues to bravely defend its freedom.

“President Zelensky renewed the Prime Minister on the situation in Mariupol, who said he paid tribute to the resistance of the city of Ukraine.

“They discussed the need for a long-term security solution for Ukraine, and the Prime Minister said he would continue to work closely with allies and partners to help Ukraine defend its sovereignty in the coming weeks and months. rice field.

“The Prime Minister renewed President Zelensky on new sanctions from Britain that came into force last week, saying that Britain will continue to provide a means for Ukraine, including armored vehicles, to protect itself in the coming days.

“The Prime Minister said that international support for Ukraine became stronger and more convinced that Ukraine would succeed and Putin would fail.”

Meanwhile, the Department of Defense (MoD) said Russia’s ultimate goal remains the same, even though Russia’s “operational focus” has moved to eastern Ukraine.

“It is committed to forcing Ukraine to abandon its Euro-Atlantic direction and claim its own regional dominance,” it said early Sunday morning.

Government figures show that by Monday, about 16,400 people had arrived in the UK under the Ukrainian visa system.

According to preliminary data, about 13,200 people arrived in the Ukrainian family system and 3,200 people in the Ukrainian housing support system.

Approximately 94,700 applications were received in both schemes and 56,500 visas were granted by Thursday, said the Department for Housing, Community and Local Government and the Ministry of Home Affairs.
